We are passionate about what we provide for each of our couples at Ocean View Gower. We believe in knowing the background and ethos of who you are trusting your big day with. Here is a little bit about Ocean View and how we became to be Gowers' best kept secret
Where it all began
Viv, a third generation cattle and sheep farmer, was born in Windmill Farmhouse. His cousins son, David, has been involved in the farm from his youth and still today helps Viv farm the land, manage the livestock, maintain the Farm and grounds along with the wedding marquees and out buildings.
After Lynne and Viv suffered the unexpected and devastating loss of most their cattle herd to Bovine TB in 2009, they needed to reinvent the farm to help ensure its survival for the future generations to come. The seed of an idea was born out of previously hosted community support and fundraiser events. That seed grew into a plan and with Lynne's background experience in events and weddings...……….that is where it all began
From the old Milking parlour to the big 'I do's'
"The Old Milking Parlour" has lovingly had its grand oak beams, feature doors and welsh slate floors restored throughout to make a beautiful dedicated space to make vows, dine in and celebrate. Later, a stunning marquee space was added to the exterior with floor to ceiling glass over looking the glorious Gower coastline as far as the eye can see ( even Tenby on a crisp clear day)
Quality over Quantity It's all about you...
Quality over quantity has always been our mantra for the business. The very first wedding we hosted was on the 12th August 2011. This was a resounding success and the start of a journey that has strengthened our team and given our couples the opportunity to celebrate at a leisurely pace. We offer the best support, in a unique and very special place in Wales.
